
Doha: Eng Nasser Ali Mawlawi, Acting General Manager of Public Works Authority (Ashghal), received today in his office the visiting Turkish delegation headed by Murat Yalcintas, President of Istanbul Chamber of Commerce.
During the meeting, both sides reviewed issues of common interest for the State of Qatar and the Republic of Turkey were reviewed, especially in the areas of infrastructure development. In the meeting held with the senior officials of Ashghal, a brief presentation on major Ashghal projects was presented and Eng Jalal Yousef Salihi, Drainage Projects manger briefed about the Ashghal projects in the areas of roads, drainage and public buildings.
Other officials from Ashghal who attended the meeting include Eng Mohamed Ali Darwesh, Senior Technical Advisor to the GM, Eng Naser Rashed Naimi, Projects Manger at Infrastructure Affairs, Meshal Naser Al Khalifa, Support Affairs Director, Mr Motasem Afifi, Acting Director of Contract Affairs and Mr Khalifa Hashim Al Sada, Acting Public Relations Manager.
The Turkish delegation appreciated the architectural design of Ashghal, especially in the buildings sector such as school buildings, health center etc, using the latest technology and the traditional style.
The head of Turkish delegation also lauded the Ashghal role in undertaking huge developmental projects such as Ruwais port development project, health center projects with full-fledged facilities, Hamad Medical City and other projects, stressing the readiness of his country and Turkish companies to participate in infrastructure development projects in Qatar.
For his part, the acting GM of Ashghal appreciated the role of Turkish companies in the area of infrastructure development of the country, elaborating the type of Ashghal tenders that foreign companies can participate.
