It also connects Salwa Road with the new Dukhan Highway. Whereas the Interchange No (84) serves bypass movement within the intersection as it will also serve future projects.
On the other hand, traffic on Salwa Road will be diverted temporarily through the service roads, starting from the Miknees Interchange up to Bu Nakhla Township towards Doha city, in order to complete works of the last phase of the Salwa Road Project.
Salwa International Highway extends from the Industrial Area to Abu Samra on the Saudi border along 81 kilometers and contains four-lane dual carriageway with 10 interchanges, with international specifications of expressway. The median along the highway is 20 meters wide with beautification and streetlights. In addition, there is adequate number of weighbridges at important junctions.
