Doha: Public Works Authority "ASHGHAL" opens Omar bin Kattab Underpass before traffic on Thursday, February 4, 2010, achieving its completion quickly in three months from beginning the completion works. The underpass that intersects Mecca Street with Doha Expressway includes a tunnel towards Mecca Street with two lanes and shoulder supports in both directions along 395 meters with 20 meters covered, in addition to the 518 meters long Mecca Street. Considered as a part of the marvelous Doha Expressway project, the underpass connects Luqta and Khalifa Town South areas.

Ashghal appeals all road users to abide with the sped limit within the underpass for the sake of security of themselves and others.
