Ashghal Submits QR 20 mn Quran Learning Center for Women to Awqaf Ministry 

Doha: Public Works Authority ASHGHAL has submitted the recently completed Quran learning center for women project at Muaidher to the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs. The center is a superb construction mixing modern building design technology with traditional Islamic architecture, on a total area of 4562 m² while the area of the two-story building alone comprises 3599 m². The project costing 20.22 million Qatar Riyals was completed in (26) months.

The center consists of 14 classrooms with 32.2 m² each, a multi-purpose lecture hall that consists 406 m², a snack bar, three activity rooms, one meeting room and a play house for children with supervisor chamber to facilitate uninterrupted learning for mothers. The interior includes marble-coated stairs and aluminum fabricated windows with coated iron railings.

The finishing work also includes internal ceiling using gypsum boards for general separation, aisles and toilets, while the floors, aisles and classrooms are suitably furnished with carpets. The exterior walls are insulated with polyzene to maintain room temperature and the outside yard is covered with interlock on an area of 1940 m, and leisure areas provided with shaded and open greenery supplied with irrigation network.

The center furnished with electric elevator and lift system is equipped with active fire alarm/evacuation system with 89 alarm detection points, audio-visual systems and satellite connections. Visitors to the center has amble parking facilities, shaded and open. 

The all-new Quran learning center is located in front of Rayyan Municipality building, adjacent to Muaidher veterinary center with amble space for children’s entertainment and early education facilities, attracting more women to learn and teach Quran.

The main contractor Hamad Khaled Hamad (HKH) Contracting Company implemented the project with consultancy services by Gulf Engineering Bureau under the supervision of Ashghal engineer Mohamed Nabeel Jafer Hasoon.
