The project is aimed to serve the increased population to the West of the City of Doha. The new extension will cater for a population of 500,000 until 2020. The plant can produce high quality treated water on par with international standards in order to serve the needs of irrigation and cultivation, and to keep environmental balance. The project includes construction, operation and maintenances for 10 years.
