Expressway Projects Department
The Expressway Projects Department carries out the necessary arrangements for the implementation of its projects, and in particular the following:
- Identifying projects for expressways, tunnels and bridges, according to the needs of the State, in co-operation with the specialised authorities.
- Preparing the plans and programmes required by construction projects for expressways, tunnels and bridges.
- Preparing tender documents for expressways, tunnels and bridges projects, and providing payment orders according to the stages of implementation and the terms of the contract.
- Supervision of all stages of the implementation of expressways, tunnels and bridges, according to the approved specifications ensuring minimal negative effects on road users.
- Working on improving and controlling the quality of requirements and specifications, and performance of expressways projects, tunnels and bridges, in co-ordination with the Quality and Safety Department.
- Working to resolve any problems related to the design or implementation of projects, expressways, tunnels and bridges.
