The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’
announces a temporary closure of 1 lane in each direction on both Al Oyoun
Street and Thani bin Jassim Street (known as Al Ittihad Street) in Al Gharrafa,
starting Monday 1 July 2019 for a period of three months, inn coordination with
the General Directorate of Traffic.
During this period, one lane will remain
open for traffic in each direction on both of Al Oyoun Street and Thani bin Jassim
Street. A new temporary turn is constructed on Thani bin Jassim Street to allow
road users to make a U-turn near the Souk area without having to reach the intersection
with Al Gharrafa Street, as shown in the attached map.
The temporary
closure aims to facilitate the construction of a new
drainage system in this part of Al Gharrafa area.
Ashghal will install road signs advising
road users to abide by the specified speed limit of the alternative routes and
follow road signs to ensure their safety.
