​The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces temporary closure on westbound lanes of Al Gharrafa Interchange underpass (known as Immigration Interchange) on Friday 2 August 2019 for 12 hours from 12am to 12pm. The traffic change, which is in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, aims to facilitate completion of upgrading works at the interchange.

During this period, traffic travelling westbound on Khalifa Street towards Dukhan will have to turn right towards Madinat Khalifa Street then take the third exit towards the left at the roundabout to get on Al Najda Street, then turn right towards Al Ruwais Street where they will be required to take the second exit of the roundabout to get on Al Ittihad Bridge and then make a U-turn at the signal-controlled intersection to get back to Thani bin Jasim Street, then continue straight, take the right turn towards Al Shamal Road then take right again at Al Gharrafa Interchange to reach Al Luqta Street, as shown in the attached map.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
