The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the closure of one lane of Omar Al Mokhtar Street and Al Bidda Street known as Majlis Al Taawon Street, for 1.5 km starting from Al Taameen Street towards Towers Intersection. In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, this change will be implemented on Thursday 23 July 2020 for a period of 2 months to enable completion of infrastructure works and installation of new traffic signal, as part of the upgrading works on some streets in West Bay Area project.
During this time, three lanes will remain open for traffic on Omar Al Mokhtar and Al Bidda Street as well as right turns towards intersecting streets.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the temporary closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
