The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the implementation of a partial traffic closure on University Street, on the left lane in both directions of the street for a distance of one kilometer, between the junction of Omar Al-Mokhtar/ University Streets and Lejbailat Intersection, and between Lejbailat Intersection and the junction of University/Al-Sanaa Streets.
The closure starts on Saturday August 22, 2020 and will be implemented over a period of 9 months. During this period, two lanes on University Street will remain open to traffic in each direction.
The closure is in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic and aims to allow the implementation of excavation works for the infrastructure development of the sewage network and rainwater drainage network in Onaiza and Al-Markhiyah areas.
