The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the full closure of the light signal connecting the Wholesale Market Street and Doha Expressway permanently, starting from Friday 20 March 2020 in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
During the traffic change, the traffic flow from the Wholesale Market Street towards Doha Expressway and Mesaimeer Interchange will be closed while traffic between Doha Expressway will remain open freely in both directions.
Road users heading towards Doha Expressway and Mesaimeer Interchange through Wholesale Market Street can use Bu Hammour Interchange on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor and then take left to the Industrial Area Road and Mesaimeer Interchange to reach their destinations.
Ashghal will use the appropriate signs to guide the road users on this closure to maintain their safety. Ashghal requests road users to abide by speed limit and signage accordingly
