The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces a temporary full road closure of Al Rayyan Roundabout located on 22 February Street and Al Rayyan Road, while keeping the whole bridges and underpass on 22 February street open to traffic. The diversion will be implemented on Wednesday to Saturday 18 – 20 July 2019 for specific time interval of 11:30pm to 05:00am on 18 July 2019 and from 11:30pm to 11:00 am on July 19 and 20, 2019, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department. The diversion is required to complete the reinstatement of bitumen surface, Pedestrian and footpath upgrade works in the roundabout.
Ashghal will install road signs advising traffic of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety. The speed limit will also be lowered to 50 kph throughout the diversion to ensure the safety of traffic and project workers.
