The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces temporary closure of some lanes on Al Corniche Street and Mohammed Bin Thani Street starting Tuesday 15 October 2019 evening until 7 November 2019. In coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, the closure will be implemented as follows:
- 150-meter-closure of one left turn lane at Qatar National Theater Intersection in the direction from Al Corniche Street towards Mohammed Bin Thani Street.
- 200-meter-closure of one left turn lane at Wadi Al Sail Intersection in the direction from Mohammed Bin Thani Street towards Al Bidda street.
- 100-meter-closure of the right lane at Wadi Al Sail Intersection on Al Bidda Street in the direction towards Amiri Diwan.
This closure, part of the project of upgrade of junctions & roundabouts in Doha, aims to facilitate the connection of the new irrigation network to the old one in the mentioned areas.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of this temporary closure. Ashghal requests all road users to abide by the speed limit, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety
