The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces a temporary closure for 5 hours, from 3am to 8am for two days on Friday 4 October and 11 October 2019, to traffic on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange to enable the finishing of landscape works, and a two day closure on parts of Bani Hajer Interchange, starting Friday 4 October 2019 to enable the finishing of the asphalt works, as part of Khalifa Avenue Project.
During this traffic change which is in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Interchange and on Luqta Street heading towards Bani Hajer and Al Rayyan will be able to use the alternative routes to reach their destinations, as shown on the attached map.
From Gharrafat Al Rayyan to Qatar Foundation (Gate No.1)
Road users on Gharrafat Al Rayyan Street heading towards Gate 1 of Qatar Foundation will have to use the free right turn towards Al Wajba palace interchange and make a U-turn.
From Dukhan to Gharrafat Al Rayyan
Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Gharrafat Al Rayyan will have to make a U-turn on Tilted Interchange.
From Doha to Qatar Foundation Gate 1
Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Qatar Foundation Gate 1 will have to make a U-turn on Al Wajba Palace interchange.
From Qatar Foundation Gate 1 to Dukhan or Gharrafat Al Rayyan
Road users leaving Qatar Foudnation through Gate 1 will have to take the free right turn and make a U-turn on the Tilted Interchange.
From Doha to Bani Hajer
Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Bani Hajer will have to continue straight towards Al Wajba Interchange, make a U-turn and then take Dukhan Road service road to be able to take the loop towards Bani haer area.
From Doha to Al Rayyan
Road users on Al Luqta Street heading towards Al Rayyan through Bani Hajer bridge, will have to continue straight towards Al Wajba Interchange, make a U-turn and then take the slip road towards Al Rayyan.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the closure and requests all road users to abide by the existing speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
