Three-Day Closure of Southbound G-Ring Carriageway Between Al Bahiya Interchange and Orbital Road

Road users can turn right at Al Bahiya I/C towards Salwa Road

The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ has announced a temporary and partial closure of the G-Ring Road southbound lanes on the carriageway between Al Bahiya Interchange and Orbital Road which will be implemented for a period of 3 days starting on Thursday 01 November at 03:00 pm up to Sunday 04 November at 05:00 am. to enable the installation of gantries of the Orbital Road.

During the closure, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, road users will be required to follow the below directions in order to reach their desired destination As shown in the attached map:

Traffic heading to Doha, Dukhan and Mesaieed Interchange

Road users heading on the G-Ring Road westbound carriageway will exit G-Ring Road at Al Bahiya Interchange (Exit 32) onto Street 200.

Through Street 200 road users will reach Al Sailiya Interchange (Exit 17) on Salwa Road.
Road users can exit the interchange onto Salwa Road according to their destination:

  • Eastbound on Salwa Road towards Doha
  • Westbound on Salwa Road towards Bu Samra Dukhan Road and Mesaieed Interchange

Traffic heading to Mesaieed

Road users heading on the G-Ring Road westbound carriageway will exit G-Ring Road at Al Hefain Interchange (Exit 29) through which they can reach Hamad Port Road passing through Aba Seleel Interchange.

Through Hamad Port Road, road users will reach Bu Ghurban Interchange, through which they can exit towards Al Kharrara and Bu Jood Interchange.
Through Bu Jood Interchange road users can exit towards Al Afja, Mesaieed and Hamad Port.

Ashghal advises that the traffic movement on the eastern lanes on G-Ring will be open as usual and Al Bahiya Interchange will not be affected by the closure either as will remain accessible in all the directions.

The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and request all road users to abide by the speed limit which remains at 80 kph along the proposed route, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
