Located in a vital area, Lusail Expressway will connect Doha with Lusail City and many public destinations such as the Pearl in the north, Katara and the Diplomatic Area, and a big number of residential areas, hotels, malls and other facilities.

The project stretches over 5.5 kilometre from Lusail City in the north to the West Bay area in the south and include 3 multi-level interchanges in addition to two marine bridges near the Pearl and Lusail City.

The main carriageway of Lusail Expressway will consist of 4 lanes in each direction, in addition to a big number of feeder service roads to connect the different destinations with the expressway.

The design of the project also focuses on enhancing traffic safety for pedestrians and providing healthy lifestyle, through building 6.5 kilometres of separate pedestrians and cyclists paths.

The project include three multi-level interchanges and 2 marine bridges:

• Arch Interchange​:
  3 level interchange including, at-grade signalized intersection, underpass and flyover
• Al Gassar Interchange:
  4 level intercede including, at-grade signalized intersection, underpass, tunnel and flyover
• Pearl Interchange:
  3 level intercede including, at-grade signalized intersection, underpass and flyover
• The Marine Bridges are:
• North Canal Crossing Bridge
  6 lanes in each direction. It will provide a direct access to the Lusail City development and north areas of Qatar from Doha City.
• South Canal Crossing Bridge
  8 lanes in each direction located between the Onaiza and Pearl Intersections.
