1.1 The scope of work for pest control services shall include those facilities and premises which come under public works authority corporation jurisdiction.
1.2 The contractors responsibility regarding pest control services shall include those areas listed below :

1.3 The contractor shall be responsible for the pest control services of all internal and external aspects of buildings and facilities including windows, roofs, doors and entrances.
1.4 A schedule is to be made and approved by PWA for treatment of all flying insects for (Outdoor and indoor areas) and rodents (rats /mice).
1.5 All pest control services carried out under the terms of the agreement shall be to the highest standards and performed by competent staff and all materials supplied or used shall conform to the current specifications of international standards.
1.6 The contractor shall follow the approved pest control schedule.
1.7 The contract period is 2 years (24 Months) starting from date of signing the contract.
1.8 The offered price shall include all costs such as supplying, installation (If any), transportation, materials / consumable items, maintenance, manpower ...etc.
1.9 Treatment of mosquitoes and flies (outdoors): Contractor shall adequately suppress populations of mosquitos and flies outside the buildings but within the premises of PWA. Dustbin and sewage collection areas which are normally preferred breeding sites must be treated; thermal fogging is to be carried out in all external areas (surroundings) including gardens as and when required.
1.10 Treatment of flying insects (indoors): Odourless and non-toxic chemicals are to be used for treatment in employees’ areas so that it will not cause disturbance to employees especially those with allergies.
1.11 Treatment of crawling insects including cockroaches: Normal treatment should involve initial treatment during the first month, after that monthly basis. Kitchen, bathroom, cafeteria, and warehouses /stores to be treated on weekly basis.
The pests should be treated both from inside areas and outside areas of the premises. The whole premises is to be thoroughly inspected including bathrooms, wash hand basins , toilets, bidets, all floor corners, wall junctions with cracks/ crevices and then necessary treatment given.
Whenever there is infestation of offices/premises with German cockroaches, lice, bedbugs or any kinds of insects or rodents complete treatment to be given.
1.12 Treatment of indoor/ outdoor rodents: Preventative treatment to be followed to control /eradicate rats and mice by suitable baited traps. Baits to be changed regularly to ensure their potency. Biological treatment to be given where infants are present.
