1) The works shall cover supply and installation of new fire hydrants at different locations, laying of HDPE pipes using trenchless method and other associated works to be completed in a proper manner.
2) The Contractor shall supervise the works and attend to the works at all times to ensure the quality of work and safety of the workers in the jobsite.
3) The Contractor shall be responsible to carry out any work that may be found necessary to complete the work in proper manner even if said work is not specified in the BOQ.
4) The Contractor shall conduct trial holes to verify the condition of the existing pipes and to determine the exact location of the proposed tapping points. The proposed tapping points shall be subject to approval by the Drainage Networks O & M Department.
5) The Contractor shall be responsible to collect measurements and other data from the site that may be needed for the proper execution of the work.
6) The Contractor shall be responsible to secure all necessary permits and approvals from concerned authorities prior to start of the work, and to secure clearance certificate from the concerned municipality after the completion of the work.
7) The Contractor shall be responsible to provide the pumps, hoses and other equipment for dewatering activities.
8)  Safety at the site is the sole responsibility of the Contractor.
9) The Contractor shall be responsible to rectify according to standards any damages to the existing services resulting from the execution of the work.
10) The Contractor shall only use materials from approved manufacturers and suppliers.  Likewise, all materials testing that may be required shall only be conducted by approved Materials Testing Laboratories.
11) The Contractor shall not assign or sublet the Works or any part thereof to any Subcontractor without prior approval from the Drainage Networks Operation and Maintenance Department.
