Scope of Construction Works The Works comprises the full design and construction of a major traffic diversion consisting of a temporary extension of Ras Abu Abboud Expressway (Design Speed 80kph) and a temporary diversion of Al Wakra Road (Design Speed 100kph), to allow the construction of the proposed Interchange No. 27 (by others). The two temporary road diversions, totalling approximately 3.6km in length, will meet at a four legged signalized junction, including a temporary access arrangement for the newly opened Barwa Village (Design Speed 50kph), as shown in these Documents and in accordance with Section D, Employer’s Requirements. The works also include the protection of existing major high voltage cables, water line, QP pipelines, and QAF/Q Tel ducts Description of Works The Works shall include, but not be limited to, the following: Design Stage  Surveys, investigations, and data collection  Design, review and approval processes from the concerned departments/authorities. Construction Stage  Site installations and traffic diversion  Site Clearance  Fencing and safety barriers  Non-positive surface water  Earthworks  Road base and sub base  Pavement (to sustain 9.99 million ESAL’s over five years, to AASTHO/QHDM)  Kerbing and footpaths  Road marking, traffic signs and directional signs  Traffic signalization  Street lighting network  Protection/diversion/adjustment of the underground services to the approval of the utility owner o Telecommunication network (Q-Tel and QAF) o Electrical network o Substation and HV network o Water network o QP oil and gas pipelines o QP jet fuel pipeline
