The Public Works Authority announces that it will put in place a temporary closure on part of the Wholesale Market Street in both directions, from the Mesaimeer Passport and Immigration Office to near the entrance of Al Jazeera Academy. Ashghal has advised that a part of Mesaimeer Road, between Rawdat Al Khail Street and Al Erbayyat Road, will also be closed. The closure will be implemented in two phases, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department, as follows:
The first phase: Friday 27 May 2016 1:00AM to Sunday 29 May 2016 4:00AM
The second phase: Thursday 2 June 2016 11:00PM to Sunday 5 June 2016, 4:00AM
Drivers travelling to Bu Hamour, Ain Khalid, the Wholesale Market, and Al Thumama areas, will be able to use Rawdat Al Khail Street or the alternatives routes shown on the attached map.
The partial closure of Wholesale Market Street and Mesaimeer Road is required to complete utilities ducts and other works on the Rawdat Al Khail Street Extension project.
Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
