The Public Works Authority announced that a
temporary diversion will be put in place in both directions on the industrial
road known as Mesaieed Road. The diversion which is 1 km in length is located
10 km from Al Wakra and 7.5 km north of Mesaieed Industrial City and the
alternative route is approximately 4 Km from Sealine Petrol Station. The
diversion will start on 9 September 2015 and will last 17 months until
mid-February 2017.
The alternative route will be in the form
of a roundabout enabling vehicles traveling on Mesaieed Road toward Al Wakra
and vehicles coming from Al Wakrah in the opposite direction to bypass the
construction zone and return to the original road (as shown in the attached
map).
Ashghal is implanting this temporary
diversion to allow the construction of bridges and associated road works on the
Orbital Highway Project.
