As part of its work on Dukhan Highway – Central, and to complete the road works extending from Al Rayyan Stadium roundabout to al Sheehaniya interchange, starting on Saturday 6th of September the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ eliminated Al Rayyan Stadium roundabout, making this part of the road a freeway in both directions.
With the elimination of Al Rayyan Stadium roundabout, road users heading towards Al Sheehaniya interchange who wish to make a U-turn will need to use Al Duhailiyyat roundabout instead of Al Rayyan Stadium roundabout.
It is also worth mentioning that the service roads on the side of the main road are now completely open to traffic in both directions as shown in
the attached map.
