The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that Al Markhiya Street will be closed at Umm Lekhba interchange during the 2nd and 3rd day of Eid Al Fitr (for 2 days) in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic.
Users of Umm Lekhba Interchange coming on Al Markhiya Street heading East or West should use the alternative routes including Al Khafji Street, and Arab League Street (as shown in the attached map).
The closure is required to continue the demolishing works of the existing pedestrian bridges and enable the construction works of vehicles bridges on Umm Lekhba Interchange.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs to guide road users to alternative routes, and requests all road users abide by the speed limit and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
