The Public Works Authority announces that it will implement a closure on both directions of Bilal bin Rabah Street near the street known as Nasser bin Abdulla Al Misned Street in Al Khor. Traffic will be diverted to the street known as Ibn Taimiyah Street and to the alternative local roads, as shown on the attached map. The closure will start on Thursday, 15 December 2016 and will last three months, in coordination with the Traffic Police Department.
Ashghal will also close part of the service road (in both directions) on the road known as Umm Birkah Road. The closed part is located after Umm Birkah interchange for those coming from Al Thakhira, and traffic will be diverted to an alternative road adjacent to the closed part. The closure will last three months starting from Saturday, 10 December 2016.
The two closures aim to enable the works of laying sewage and treated sewage effluent rising mains as part of the Design, Build, Operate and Maintain of Al Thakhira Sewage Treatment Works and Transfer Pumping Station and Associated Pipelines project.
The Public Works Authority requests that all road users abide by the speed limit and follow diversion road signs to ensure their safety. With the camping season now underway, Ashghal also reminds road users to exercise special care while driving to their campsite, by further reducing speed as necessary.
