​The Public Works Authority "Ashghal" announces the implementation of a temporary traffic diversion on part of Abdullah Bin Jassim Street, between Jabr Bin Mohamed and Grand Hamad Streets. The traffic on this part will be converted to a one-way road consisting of two lanes in the direction from Jabr Bin Mohamed Street to Grand Hamad Street. The closure will be implemented on Saturday, 8 May for 6 months.

The closure will be implemented in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, and it aims to allow the implementation of the infrastructure development and beautification works on Abdullah Bin Jassim Street, as part of Doha central Development and Beautification Projects - Package 2A.

During the closure period, those wishing to use this part of Abdullah Bin Jassim Street, to reach Jabr Bin Mohamed Street, are advised to continue to Al Corniche Street or Ali Bin Abdulla Street, then continues to Jabr Bin Mohamed Street, as shown in the attached map.

Public Works Authority will install signboards to alert road users to this traffic change, and it urges all road users to adhere to the permitted speed limits and follow the signboards to preserve their safety.
