The Public Works Authority ' Ashghal' announces that the Temporary Truck Route (TTR) will be closed daily for 15 minutes between 9:00 am and 10:00 am for rock-blasting operations as part of the preparatory works for the construction of the New Orbital Highway (as shown in the attached map).
The blasting is expected to begin on Thursday July 9, 2015 and will continue for a period of 3 months and the area will be secured with warning signs.
The proposed alternative route will start from Al Shamal road and pass through Celebration road then continue to Dukhan Road reaching up to Route 55. The diversion is intended only for private vehicles as trucks are not allowed on Celebration Road. Therefore, trucks will have to wait for 15 minutes before resuming their journey on Route 55.
