As part of the North Road Corridor Enhancement project, the Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ will temporarily close Al Kheesa Interchange to traffic on Thursday, 4 May, 2017, to last for two months.
During the detour, planned in collaboration with the General directorate of Traffic, commuters can access their destinations east and west of Al Kheesa Interchange and Al Shamal Road using the nearby Umm Slal Mohammed Interchange and Al Kharaitiyat Interchange along with the local roads around, as shown on the attached map.
Ashghal stresses that the traffic on the North Road main carriageway will witness no change since the four-lane artery will remain open in each direction as normal.
For their safety, Ashghal requests motorists abide by traffic instructions and the newly installed signage.
