The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces that the existing Lekhwiya Roundabout on Sabah Al Ahmad Corridor will be shifted approximately 700m north to facilitate the construction of the key project. The traffic change commences Sunday 11 August 2019 and will remain in place for a period of 4 months.
During the change, designed in coordination with the General Directorate of Traffic, traffic movement to and from Luaib Area via Rashida Street will be shifted to the new roundabout.
The Public Works Authority will install road signs advising motorists of the traffic shift and requests all road users to abide by the 50kph speed limit and follow the newly designed road signs to ensure their safety.
