The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announces the implementation of a partial closure on Dafna Street. The street will be closed in both directions between its intersection with Omar Al-Mukhtar Street and its intersection with Balhambar Street for a distance of 600 metres. Dafna Street will also be closed in one direction from its intersection with Balhambar Street to Al Dafna Intersection.
Access to the embassies on both sides of Dafna Street will be kept open. The closure will start on Friday, April 16, 2021, and will stay in place for a period of 6 months, in coordination with the General Traffic Department.
During this period, Omar Al Mukhtar Street, Al Tawaweesh Street, and Balhambar Street can be used as alternative roads, as shown in the attached map.
The closure aims to allow for the implementation of Dafna Street Development works, as part of the Roads and Parks Development Project in the West Bay area.
