Traffic Diversion on Al Gharrafa Roundabout

The Public Works Authority announces that it will divert the traffic on Al Gharrafa Roundabout, to a new 3-leg intersection. The diversion will start on Friday 3 June 2016 and will last for a period of 18 months.

The Public Works Authority announces that it will divert the traffic on Al Gharrafa Roundabout, to a new 3-leg intersection as shown on the attached map. The diversion will start on Friday 3 June 2016 and will last for a period of 18 months.
Drivers travelling on Yazeed Bin Talha Street and Al Uqab Street that usually enter the Al Gharrafa Roundabout from the west & north approaches can access the diverted intersection via the new traffic signal located at the intersection of Al Hazm Street and Al Gharrafa Street, as shown on the attached map.
Drivers coming from south of Al Gharrafa Roundabout and heading to the local area west of the Roundabout can continue on Al Gharrafa Street and turn left at the same Al Hazm Street signal, as shown in the map.
Ashghal is implementing this diversion to enable the construction works of Al Gharrafa North Extension (GNE) underpass as part of Dukhan Road East Contract- Khalifa Avenue project. Ashghal will install road signs to advise motorists of the closure. The authority requests all road users to abide by the speed limits, which has been reduced to 50 kph, and follow the road signs to ensure their safety.
