The Public Works Authority ‘Ashghal’ announced that streets
658, 656, 654, and 660 in Doha Industrial Area will be closed to traffic
starting Monday evening 29th of August 2016 for a year.
During this period, one lane will remain open to traffic on
Street 653 in the direction heading to West Industrial Street, as shown in the attached map.
While streets 655, 657 and 659 will be open to traffic in both directions to
provide access to residential buildings and businesses in the area.
The diversion aims to enable construction works to upgrade Doha’s Industrial
Area Package 2, which aims to increase the capacity of roads, in addition to
providing the Industrial Area with a full integrated infrastructure.
Ashghal urges all road users to abide by posted speed limits
and traffic signs to ensure their and others safety.
