Roads and Infrastructure Development Project in Northern Part of New Slata

Brief description

The project serves 633 land plots on an area of 1.72 km2, and aims to facilitate the access of New Slata’s residents and visitors to the main streets surrounding the area, namely Ali Bin Abi Talib Street, the D-Ring Road and Salwa Road. The project also provides a solution to the rainwater flooding problem during the rainy season.

A total of 86 streets with a length of 15.38 km were developed in the area, in addition to installing signboards, speed humps, and 659 lighting poles with energy saving LED luminaries. In addition to providing pedestrian paths and 2800 car parking.
The project also included constructing surface and groundwater drainage networks, and constructing the extension of the existing Treated Sewage Effluent (TSE) network, in addition to connecting all plots in the area with the drainage network that was developed. Ashghal used distinctive designs in interlock structure and allocated places to plant trees and plants in the area, in addition to developing utilities networks, including electricity, water and communications lines.
