The project includes landscaping works and construction of roads surrounding Legtaifiya Station, as part of the Road Improvement Works in Various Areas in Greater Doha project, Phase 6.
The new roads provide two entrances to the Legtaifiya station; the first is from Lusail Road and the second is from the Pearl Road. These roads contribute to facilitating access to the station and other health and recreational facilities in the area.
The new roads serve Legtaifiya station within the Doha Metro Red Line and the recently opened Lusail Tram Line.
The authority had previously opened part of the roads with the start of operation of the Doha Metro Red Line to serve the station and its visitors.
The project includes:
• 2.2 km roads
• 3.3 km shared pedestrian and bicycle path
• 1.2 km sewage network
• 2 km of surface and storm water drainage lines
• 1 km treated water lines to be used for irrigation
• 192 trees
• 17,000 sqm green spaces
• Seating for visitors
• Parking for bicycles
• 48 street lighting poles
• 272 LED lights on floors and stairs
• 210 parking spaces
• Crossings for people with special needs
