The Qatar University College of Medicine and Health Sciences Construction project consists of a building with four floors, in addition to a basement that includes parking spaces, gardens, and various facilities. The building is designed to be divided into three wings, accommodating multiple college functions, including classrooms, teaching and research laboratories, lecture halls, and administrative offices.
Basement:
It will include a dedicated parking area for college staff, spaces allocated for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, storage areas, water tanks, a fire pump room, and various supporting facilities.
Ground Floor:
The ground floor will feature lecture halls, classrooms, meeting areas, lounges, prayer rooms, as well as auxiliary technical rooms.
First Floor:
This floor will house classrooms, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) suites, laboratories, an anatomy museum, and a range of teaching labs.
Second and Third Floors:
Both floors will have similar layouts to the first floor, primarily consisting of research laboratories and office areas.
Environmental Classification:
The project has been rated with a 3-star sustainability grade under the Global Sustainability Assessment System (GSAS).
