Description
1. Project Description The project covers an approximate total area of 69 Hectares. The project aims to enhance the area by developing the road infrastructure including, lighting, , landscaping, TSE and improving surface water drainage. The construction works include, but are not limited, to the following: a) Traffic management b) Site clearance, including removal of spoil and removal of temporary structures. c) Advance diversions and other utility works. d) Ecological mitigation works. e) TSE, and lift station and EFA pond. f) Construction of road cross sectional elements including cross drains/ducts and any proposed utilities in the corridors under the road pavement. g) Backfill and earthworks to formation level. h) Kerbing and road pavement to underside of surfacing. i) Construction of verge cross-sectional elements j) Landscaping includes tree plantation, block paving at junctions/roundabouts and median island areas. k) Surfacing, road signing and street lighting. 2. The Project Objectives This project aims to provide access roads to the proposed Al Karaana Camel Racetrack (Plot Pin: 83210013) on the north side of Salwa road, connecting from the Servicer Road of Salwa Road in zone 83. The main objective of camel Access Road is the construction of works that include roads, storm water drainage, trees landscaping, TSE, and related roadway infrastructure. General objectives include proper connectivity to the Camel racing track, improving traffic flow, increasing safety, minimize travel times and to minimize potential environmental impacts.
