PROJECT OUTLINE The project area is located within Zone 72 in Al Shahaniya municipality, adjacent to Dukhan Road, approximately 70 km south of Doha City. This project is Access Road to Dukhan Air Base on Plot PIN # (72300002). The Scope of work includes construction of dual lane carriageway road to facilitate access to Dukhan Air Base plot tie in with the existing roads along with a two lane roundabout within the approved Right of Way corridor of 64m. The proposed road will connect • To the existing two lane roundabout at south side of the project, leading to Dukhan Highway • To the existing single carriageway road (Khawzan Road) on both east and west side • To the existing road on north side leading to the Farms. PROJECT OBJECTIVE The primary objective is to construct approximately 2 km of dual carriageway road, including one roundabout junction, to facilitate access to the Dukhan Air Base plot within an approved 64 m Right of Way corridor. THE TENDER This Project will be procured as a Re-measurable with quantities as a Build Only based on an approved design by others (with Contractor’s Design Portion for as Indicated in Tender Documents), with some elements as design and build. The procurement methodology will be a Single Stage Two Envelopes Tendering System. TIME FOR COMPLETION The Contract duration comprises of: Three hundred sixty-five (365) Days from Commencement Date for Completion of the whole of the Works (including mobilisation), and Four Hundred (400) Days from the Completion Date of the whole Works (receipt of Completion Certificate) for Maintenance Period.
