The Project comprises the construction of new sewers to extend the sewerage network in Al Khor city. The Contractor shall construct, test and commission the whole of the works in this Contract as shown on the drawings and as described in the Specifications and Bill of Quantities TIME FOR COMPLETION a) The Contractor shall construct and test the Works within 913 days from date of the commencement of the Contract. b) Defects liability period shall be 400 days from date of completion and acceptance of the works. GENERAL SCOPE OF SERVICES The services to be provided by the Consultant to Public Works Authority (PWA) relate to the carrying out of Post-Contract Professional General, Site Supervision and Quantity Surveying Consultancy Services that will monitor the successful completion of the Construction Contract for Al Khor Area Sewerage for Northern Region – Package 2, Civil Project 707/2 in accordance with General Conditions of Engagement 1984 Section 10 and supplemented and/ or amended by the Project Brief and all relevant notices or circulars issued by the Public Works Authority. The Consultant shall perform the role of responsibilities of The Engineer Representative and will be responsible for providing the services of suitably qualified personnel, equipment, materials, supplies and facilities for its use in order to manage, supervise, inspect, make or authorize payment, and complete the statement of work / contracts in a timely and acceptable manner as detailed in A.1 above.
