Description and Scope of Works Replacement of deteriorated / collapsed house connection lines (Live Sewer), at different locations in Doha City, work comprises but not necessarily limited for the following:- a. Work shall be in different locations in Doha city, requires shifting of required machines or tool or safety barriers, or fencing or traffic signs or traffic diversion for the assigned site as and when required b. Excavation in any material or any location , including, cutting bit Mac at major road or minor road as necessary, excavation in existing trench, which may need trimming or a new trench ,under or above water table, in soft or hard soil . c. Bedding, including granular bedding and surround or plain concrete bedding and surround & in exceptional cases sand bedding may be used. d. Pipe work, including carefully removing the old pipe as necessary , lay, joint & test 150mm diameter, ESVC or SSVC pipes ( O&M will supply the pipes without fittings which shall be supplied by the contractor ) . Work includes jointing the pipes to existing or proposed manholes / chambers / main sewer lines as required , using different sorts of couplers as required ( supply by the contractor ) , depth is varying from 1.0 m deep and may reach to 4.5m deep . e. Back filling work , in layers , work shall include back filling the existing trench with the use of selected fill , in layers not exceeding 200mm depth , compaction every layer up to or exceeding the maximum dry density of the soil , work also include dispose all surplus material properly and cleaning the site . f. Reinstatement work, including any kind of surface finishing, including, bitmac, or interlock / bricks flooring or concrete flooring or any sort of tiling work as required. g. After completion of all works, an approved surveyor shall survey all works to obtain coordinates and levels. Survey information shall be provided in an approved format. All work shall be undertaken in accordance with Drainage Affairs requirements for sewerage projects as detailed in Qatar Construction Specification ( QCS) and the recent Drainage Affairs supplement thereto.
