The project comprises the construction of the extension of the existing sewerage networks for the Southern part of the developed areas of Al Khor. Package 3- Area Sewerage for Southern Region This Contract comprises construction of area Sewerage and trunk sewers for the southern areas of Al Khor . The works include but not limited to the following: - Construction of approximately 31 Km of foul sewer (VC pipe) network by open cut trench with diameters varying from 200mm and 400 mm. - Construction of approximately 7.5 Km of trunk (jacking pipe) by Microtunnelling for pipe diameters varying from 400mm and 800 mm. - Construction of approximately 1200 GRP lined cast in-situ concrete manholes, 185 of which will be located in shafts (very deep) used for Microtunnelling. - Construction of approximately 1,700 house connections (existing 130 & future 1,555Nr) including 20 Km of 150 mm vitrified clay pipeline. The contractor shall construct, test, and maintain the whole of works in this contract As shown on the drawings and as described in the specifications and Bill of Quantities.
