The following is a general outline of the scope of work, however the full scope and extent of the works forming the contract is based on the Bills of Quantities of this Tender document. Quantities entered into the Bills of Quantities are a genuine pre-estimate by the Engineer or quantities that are expected to result from the contract. Individual Work Order shall be issued for each improvements to Traffic Signal Junction within the area covered by this contract, which shall follow this BOQ and the rates and are subject to re-measurement in accordance with Clause 51 of the Conditions of Contract and no claim for adjustment to the re-measured Contract Price or Rates due to discrepancies between Billed and measured quantities will be entertained The works shall include the inspection of existing traffic signal equipment, liaison with the Utility Departments/Authorities, replacement of old traffic signal equipment, provision, installation, testing, commissioning and maintenance of traffic signal equipment. New installation (Signalized Roundabout, T-Junction & Cross Junction) maybe added during the execution of this contract as directed by the Engineer. The traffic signal controller shall be able to operate the same as the currently installed traffic signal at the roundabouts and as per the PWA requirements. Specific details of the works will be issued during the contract period. The contractor shall note that continuity of the works will not be guaranteed and the works may be required to proceed on more than one site at any one time.
